Tebow will work out for NFL teams on March 17. It appears that this workout will be entirely unscripted meaning that he will throw the passes that NFL teams request him to throw. It also appears that since he left school, he has been studying two different NFL offensive systems. One is the Coryell that was run amazingly well by Dan Fouts in San Diego and the other is the West-Coast system created by Bill Walsh and run to perfection by Joe Montana.

Tebow is also scheduled to work out on an individual basis with Seattle and Buffalo.

Love him, hate him or anywhere in-between, you have to admire the way he is trying to mold himself into the player he needs to be to succeed in the NFL.

The only problem is, changing your throwing motion is very different than changing your golf swing or the way you swing a bat in baseball. In both golf and baseball, you're stationary. Nobody is in your face or breathing down your neck. A QB is going to be flushed from the pocket, throwing on the run, throwing before he's ready to throw etc.. This is a huge process, and it's the main reason why many people think his mechanics will hold him back. I give him full credit for trying, and I have no doubt that he's " working very hard everyday "... but the odds are against him when it comes to changing how he's throws a ball. He can't afford to sacrifice arm strength, and that's the first thing that will go when you're focused on your mechanics. In a game setting, he's not going to be able to think about his throwing motion. It's all instinct and what comes natural to you. He's gonna need at least 2 years on the bench to change that, and even then... there's no guarantee that he won't revert back to his old ways.
