no longer a rookie but will keep the name...lol

anyhow just picked our draft order this past weekend and i have been blessed with th 1 pick for the first time in 7 years. its my 200 dollar league so any thought on draft tips is helpfull

leage guidelines----1 qb 2 rb 2 wr 1 flex 1 te 1 k 1 def

6 points for all touchdowns including q.bs

1 point for 10 yerds rec and rushing and 2o yrds passin

no ppr

last year i took brees with pick 7( because of 6 point q.b tds and rode him to finals) not sure how i feel bout the 1 pick. obviously chris johnson is already on my team. than the turn at round two is where im ? my next 2 picks

brees rodgers and manning will be gone....prolly brady too.

schaub or rivers could be there....would you take either than? or wait a couple rounds and maybe get someone like cutler or romo...or even later a sleeper like kold or something.

im thinking r.b q.b. w.r first three picks

any thought would be greatly appreciated

thanks

THERE IS NO NEED TO TAKE A QB THAT EARLY (2/3) IN A 10 TEAM LEAGUE. EVEN IF "THE STUDS" ARE THERE, I WOULD BE GOING RB OR WR THAT EARLY IN THE DRAFT. EVEN MORESO IF OTHERS ARE TAKING QB'S EARLY. THAT LEAVES BETTER RB/WR'S FOR YOU. I'D TAKE A VALUE QB LATER ON IN THE DRAFT. REMEMBER THAT ALL QB TD'S ARE 6 POINTS, NOT JUST FOR THE STUD QB'S.

I wouldnt be so quick to jump on CJ especially in non ppr. AP will imo get more touchdowns, CJ got alot of carries last yr and chances are he wnt repeat another 2000 yard season. AP is the safer pick

I agree on the AP before CJ thing in non-PPR . . . in a 10-team league with your scoring and rosters . . . I would probably go RB/RB/RB/WR/QB/WR . . . not to draft out too far and leave some flexibility in there for monster guys dropping. but if you are expecting 4 QB's to be taken before the daft gets back to you that means you get to take (at worst) the 1,15 and 16 RB's in the draft . . . right now that would look like people in the range of AP plus two out of RB's in the range of Benson, Grant, Moreno or Jamaal Charles. That's a heck of a kickoff to your team.

In a non-PPR league, I think CJ2000 vs AP is a valid discussion. The wild card here could be how the Vikings use Toby Gerhart.

CJ v AP is a huge debate in any format. I am also not jumping on the CJ-being-#1 bandwagon. For no-PPR, I really like AP over CJ. AP is still looking for his 2000yd bid, and once he cures his fumbilitis issues, it's bound to happen soon after, maybe this year.

I really like the mid-round depth at RB this year, so I would suggest drafting WR-WR in rounds 2-3 and stock up on 4 RBs during the next 6 rounds. Kolb and Flacco are excellent 10th round targets for your starting QB.

I'd take ADP and his fumbles in a non-ppr. Chris Johnson is a freak, but ADP will have lots of opportunities to score on the Vikes offense.

I wouldn't worry about getting a QB with your first 3 picks. Getting studs at the other skill positions is harder than it used to be, even in a 10 teamer. Nothing wrong with grabbing your QB at round 4 or 5 though.
